Overview

Nestled in the heart of DeRidder, Louisiana, Two Sisters Pecan House offers diners a taste of Southern comfort with a menu that honors tradition while inviting a casual dining experience. Located at 1624 N Pine St, this restaurant showcases the region’s culinary heritage, with a focus on hearty dishes and classic flavors that resonate with locals and visitors alike.

The mainstay here is undoubtedly the gumbo—a soulful blend of Louisiana's rich culinary roots, filled with tender chicken and sausage, which many patrons herald as a standout item. Alongside this, the Reuben sandwich and chicken noodle soup provide comforting options for those seeking a familiar and satisfying meal. The menu further caters to varied tastes with offerings like Cobb salad and baked potatoes topped with brisket or pulled pork, making it a spot where simplicity meets substance.

Two Sisters Pecan House embodies a cozy, down-to-earth atmosphere, reflective of its small-town charm. The space feels inviting, with an ambience that encourages relaxed gatherings, whether for a quick lunch during a day of antique shopping or a thoughtful sit-down meal. This establishment appeals mainly to locals and transient visitors who crave authentic Southern fare that speaks to the soul.

Customer experiences, however, vary. While many appreciate the warm hospitality and quick, attentive service—highlighted by patrons who find the staff friendly and the food genuinely fresh—some reviews reflect concerns with consistency, particularly about the preparation and quality of certain dishes like the Reuben sandwich. Feedback suggests that while the overall menu offers strong classics, execution can occasionally fall short of expectations.

What truly sets Two Sisters Pecan House apart is its community-oriented spirit. On occasions such as Veterans Day, the staff’s kindness and generosity create memorable experiences, extending beyond food to embrace a sense of belonging and gratitude. This personal touch enriches the dining experience and fosters loyalty among patrons who value both the food and the heartfelt service.

In summary, Two Sisters Pecan House is a destination for those seeking authentic Louisiana flavors served in a welcoming, unpretentious setting. It is suited for diners who appreciate home-style cooking, straightforward menus, and a place that feels like a neighborhood staple. Despite mixed reviews on specific items, the restaurant’s dedication to its local roots and commitment to hospitality shine through, making it a noteworthy stop for anyone exploring DeRidder’s culinary scene.

OK service, very poor Food Quality. Ordered a Ruben sandwich on Marble Rye, got 2 slices of corned beef with a spoon Sauerkraut and a little bit of sauce, on I guess what was considered a Rye bread, (not Marble) toasted. Meat was chewy and total taste was lacking from the meal. No prices on the menu, when I paid the bill for the 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks, it came to over $25! Wow! Probably won't be going back there again. Definitely Not the 2 Sisters I remember. Funny... When asked if they're was a complaint, I explained my displeasure, the lady acted as if she could care less. Bye 2 Sisters...

I did not particularly care for the cashier. Otherwise I would have put five stars across the board.

On Veterans Day, I have a hard time going to establishments for any of the offerings that restaurants give out, if you know, you know. I have not gone to anything like this except one other time and that was over 10 years ago. I went in today after I was invited by a friend to go for their Veterans Day Meals. I have eaten here before, and I’ve always loved their meals, so I decided I was going to step out of my comfort zone. I was greeted warmly and after telling the beautiful women behind the counter why I was there, she told me I could have anything I wanted. I got my usual, which is the Cajun Turkey and upon her recommendation, the French onion soup. I took my food to go and went to work. Not only did the food warm my heart, but the whole demeanor of this place was next level. I really appreciate the kindness that they extended to the Veteran Community today . I absolutely love this place and will continue to support this wonderful establishment.

My friend and I went to DeRidder today to do some Flea Market/Antique shopping and we stopped here for lunch. We found the staff very friendly and the service was very quick! And our good was very good! We would definitely eat here again. We found the atmosphere really cute, too.

Soup and sandwich. Plus baked potato and salads all fresh and good There chicken and sausage gumbo is to die for. When you want simple and quick this is surely the place to go. It's been there for awhile and I believe it because it an outstanding restaurant and I think it will still be there when the Lord comes to take us out of here. Thank you ladies for a good job. God bless y'all.
